| How to play the guitar Vol1 4.2 Description: This volume is written for beginners. It attempts to recreate the "atmosphere" of a private guitar lesson. Based on experience gained by the author in teaching the guitar at this level, the lessons cover the common mistakes encounted by most students eg problems with keeping rhythm, with fingering and with interpretation of a piece of music. Traditionally guitar lessons for beginners have been based on finger exercises, scales and arpeggios. Here, the author has from the start introduced simple melodies. In the author's opinion most beginners want to play: Blues, Rock'n'roll, Folk or to learn to accompany themselves on the guitar. This can lead naturally to further study at higher levels and will in addition provide the student with experience of a number of musical styles. Through lessons of increasing difficulty, this guitar course will teach you the rudiments of guitar playing.
