CR8 for Windows is a small, easy to use, yet powerful program designed for printing plastic cards. It can be used to print both photo-ID's using colour card printers such as the Eltron P310*, as well as to high-capacity card printers such as the NBS Image Master* through connection to a database. CR8 for Windows features an easy to use database connection (ODBC) and also features ability to print cards manually through keyboard input (you do not have to set-up a database file simply to print one or two cards for example, unlike with some more sophisticated card printing programs).CR8 for Windows allows insertion of common graphic file types and features the ability to remove "black" from images so that the black foil on CMYK colour printers is not used. Images can be 'framed' with a border easily - a feature required for many photo ID's, and lacking on some software.Barcodes are also supported through installed Barcode fonts - allowing colour card printers to print black-foil barcodes. CR8 for Windows can be configured to use any barcode font, if you wish to use your own fonts.
