It also contains a dynamic link library (DLL) which can be used in a wide variety of programming languages, both those supported in Visual Studio as well as third-party languages and scripting tools. For C/C++ programmers, complete header files and class wrappers are also included with the Standard Edition. The .NET development platform supports the use of COM objects and unmanaged DLLs, which allows you to develop applications using SocketWrench in .NET as well. The component can be used on 32-bit platforms such as Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Standard client and server capability is provided, as well as support for both TCP and UDP protocols and the complete Windows Sockets API. Virtually any type of application which needs to communicate with another, either on a local network or over the Internet, can be written using the SocketWrench Standard Edition.The SocketWrench Standard Edition has been completely redesigned and implemented, taking advantage of our experience in building client and server components for the Windows platform.
